In 2019 and 2020 it will be 300 years ago since the first international financial bubble. To commemorate this historical event, various events will be organized. The Financial History website will keep you updated on these events.
One of the projects in development is: 1720-2020 – New perspectives on financial crises
1720-2020 aims to develop interdisciplinary and international collaboration for researchers working on the history of stock markets and financial crises. The aim of the network is to reach beyond boundaries and borders, and to facilitate an international and interdisciplinary scholarly exchange on stock markets and financial crises from 1600 to the present day. The project will start in 2018 with a workshop in Tokyo, to plan further events. News about the project will be posted on this website.
